Titanium is the highest quality material for body piercing.
Titanium piercing is somewhat lighter than steel - this is noticable only in rings that are over 5 mm thick. With smaller jewelry you will most likely feel no difference.
Electric oxidation of the surface leads to colored titanium - usually yellow, blue, purple and green. Prolonged wearing of colored titanium (e.g. tongue piercing) can lead to color fading, leaving the jewelry in its original 'silvery' color. The color from anodized titanium does not lead to skin discoloration and it has been approved by European union's directive on nickel emission.
Titanium piercing jewelry is produced from gradation 23 (Ti6AL4VELI) which is accepted worldwide for medicine equipment such as pacemakers. Material analysis (done by Croatian Healthcare Institute Andrija Štampar) for our titanium jewelry can be downloaded on the link.
Titanium piercing jewelry doesn't have nickel in it so it's suitable for people with extreme metal allergies (reactions to metal buttons, patent zippers, belt buckles, cutlery, etc.) as well as those who wish only the highest quality materials to be used for their body.
Titanium jewelry can be autoclave-sterilised.
